North West (Head Office-based)
£33,000 - £40,000 + performance-related bonus

A long-established, multi-site organisation is seeking an experienced Telesales Manager to lead and develop its internal sales function. This is a key role focused on driving team performance, refining sales strategy, and maximising revenue through effective outbound and inbound activity.

This opportunity would suit a hands-on sales leader who can balance day-to-day team management with a strategic approach to improving processes, conversion rates, and overall commercial performance.

Role Overview

You will take responsibility for overseeing a team of telesales representatives, ensuring targets are achieved while maintaining a high standard of customer engagement. You will also play a central role in shaping sales strategy, analysing performance data, and implementing improvements across the function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a telesales team to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Monitor daily activity levels, call quality, and conversion rates, providing regular feedback and coaching
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Manage inbound and outbound sales activity, ensuring a consistent and professional customer experience
  • Analyse sales data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Set clear KPIs and ensure accountability across the team
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of team members
  • Work closely with senior management to align sales activity with wider business objectives
  • Ensure accurate use of CRM systems and reporting tools
  • Handle escalated customer queries or complex sales situations when required

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in a telesales or inside sales environment, with previous leadership or supervisory responsibility
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to coach, develop, and inspire a team to perform at a high level
  • Commercially aware with a strategic mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Data-driven approach with experience analysing sales performance metrics
  • Confident using CRM systems and sales reporting tools
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive, driven, and results-focused
