VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our client, a large and well-known Public Sector Organisation with the recruitment of a Technical Officer to join their team based in Newtownabbey.

This is a Full-Time Monday - Friday position. 37 hours per week. Monday - Friday 9 - 5.

Salary


£21,900 - £28,300 + fantastic benefits in a modern workplace.

Responsibilities

The Technical Officer plays a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of technical aspects related to housing projects. This position involves collaborating with various teams and stakeholders to ensure that housing construction and maintenance adhere to industry standards and regulations.

  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
  • Stay updated on local building codes, regulations, and zoning laws.
  • Ensure housing projects comply with all applicable regulations and permits.
  • Implement quality control measures and resolve construction issues.
  • Assist in budget preparation and cost estimation for housing projects.
  • Monitor project expenses and report any deviations.
  • Prepare progress reports and present updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with housing projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, government authorities, and other stakeholders.

The Ideal Person:

  • Proven experience in project management within the housing or construction industry.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively.
