The firm is seeking a newly qualified Chartered Accountant with corporate tax experience to join the dynamic Partners' Affairs and Tax (PAT) team. This exciting opportunity would allow you to work closely with senior team members, supporting the management of the firm's UK tax affairs and advising on various tax matters. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, optimising tax positions, and contributing to the success of the firm.

The Person:

  • Accountancy degree or equivalent qualification (essential).
  • Newly qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/CTA or equivalent) with corporate tax experience.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in IT skills, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in preparing and submitting corporate and partnership tax returns online using tax software packages (e.g., Alphatax, CCH Personal Tax, or similar).
  • Ability to analyse complex technical tax matters and provide clear, concise advice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax and accounting issues to non-specialists.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders across different locations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Corporate Tax Management:

  • Prepare and review partnership tax computations, including the worldwide 'Trading Income' of primary LLP entities, and submit partnership tax returns to HM Revenue & Customs.
  • Handle UK tax computations for various UK and non-UK partnerships and ensure timely submission of tax returns.
  • Prepare corporate tax and other returns for the LLP's subsidiary corporate entities.
  • Assist in the year-end closing process, including the preparation of Deferred Tax calculations.
  • Contribute to tax accounting and the preparation of tax notes for disclosure in statutory accounts.
  • Complete quarterly VAT returns, including partial exemption calculations where applicable.
  • Advise partners and finance teams on complex VAT matters.


Client Engagement and Advisory:

  • Act as a point of contact for clients, providing clear and accurate advice on UK direct and indirect tax matters.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, external tax advisers, finance teams, and other support functions.


Project Involvement:

  • Participate in ad hoc projects such as tax digitisation, employment tax aspects, and process improvements.
  • Assist in the release cycles for partner tax reserves
