Supply Chain / Purchasing Coordinator

VANRATH are delighted to be representing a long-established, family-run business in Newtownabbey that now have a vacancy available for an individual passionate about working within a supply chain environment. Our client are passionate about investing in their staff to provide a strong foundation for promotion and internal movement.

You will be provided with the necessary training to best equip you for the challenges and demands of their industry. On offer is a very competitive holiday entitlement, which is something that can be discussed.

The ideal person:

  • Relevant education / qualification
  • Ability to create Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP on Excel
  • Two years recent and relevant experience

As the Supply Chain Coordinator, duties include:

  • Manage placement of purchase orders from suppliers
  • Manage replenishment parameter such as forecasting and lead times
  • Ensure that deliveries are on time and in full, liaising with suppliers and carriers as necessary
  • Understanding of inter-company movements of stock between branches
  • Resolve supplier issues efficiently and effectively
  • Assisting Finance in the resolution of invoice discrepancies / Over and under orders
  • Updating master data in the ERP and ordering systems to ensure accurate orders and demand planning.
