Street Cleaning Operative

Job Description

I'm currently working with one of our long-standing public sector clients who is looking to bring on board a number of Street Cleaning Operatives to help keep the local community looking its best. This is hands-on, outdoor work - ideal for someone who doesn't mind being on their feet and takes pride in doing a job well.

The role involves general street cleaning duties such as litter picking, sweeping, emptying bins, and reporting any issues you come across while out and about - fly-tipping, damaged bins, graffiti, etc. You'll be part of a team that genuinely makes a difference to the look and feel of the area.

What they're looking for:

  • Someone reliable and punctual - this is key

  • You'll need to be comfortable working outdoors in all weather

  • Some previous experience in a similar role helps, but it's not essential

  • A good level of physical fitness - there's plenty of walking involved

  • A full driving licence is a plus (some routes require a van, but not all)
