VANRATH are assisting a leading FMCG organisation in the recruitment of a Commercial Strategy Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced commercial or analytical professional to join a well-established business with a strong portfolio of brands and excellent long-term career prospects.
This is a full-time permanent position based in Belfast.
Salary
£37,000 - £40,000 (DOE) + Bonus (~£2,000) + excellent benefits package. This role is 3 days in office, 2 from home.
The Role
As Commercial Strategy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of sustainable and profitable growth across a portfolio of brands. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing and Commercial teams to shape pricing strategies, promotional activity and trade investment to maximise revenue and margin performance.
The successful candidate will help drive commercial planning processes, analyse promotional effectiveness and provide data-driven recommendations that support strategic decision making across the business.
Responsibilities
Support the delivery of commercial growth strategies through pricing, promotions and trade investment planning
Analyse promotional performance and provide insights to optimise customer and brand plans
Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to maximise return on investment across promotional activity
Monitor key commercial KPIs and identify risks and opportunities across brands and channels
Support budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure commercial plans align with revenue targets
Maintain and update key sales and pricing data across internal commercial systems
Assist with the planning and execution of promotional calendars and customer activity
Provide commercial insights and reporting to support senior decision making
Ensure pricing and promotional activity is accurately managed across internal systems
Support the wider commercial team with data analysis and strategic planning initiatives
The Ideal Person
Experience in a commercial, analytical or business planning role
Strong numerical and analytical skills with advanced Excel capability
Ability to analyse large datasets and provide clear commercial insights
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Experience working with commercial systems or ERP platforms would be advantageous
