VANRATH are delighted to be working with a recognisable employer based in Greater Belfast, who are currently recruiting an SO Accountant to join their finance team. This is an opportunity to gain exposure in a fast-paced department, to be considered for this role, it is essential to have had previous management accounts experience.

Reporting to the Head Accountant, the Staff Officer Accountant will be responsible for monitoring budgets and expenditure, liaising with budget holders and assisting with the year-end accounting processes.

Interviewing immediately with the opportunity to start thereafter.

About you

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• High degree of self-motivation and initiative
• Ability to work productively and flexibly while meeting deadlines
• Available to start at short notice

What you'll do

• Produce management reports and variance analysis
• Prepare budgets and scenario planning
• Assist in the planning and preparation of the draft Annual Accounts
• Enhance current systems and implement new systems as required
• Support business preparation where required
