Overview:

VANRATH is recruiting on behalf of a global leader in electronic trading, post-trade processing, and risk management systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class organisation that is expanding its operations in Belfast. The company is undergoing a significant transformation, migrating its technology infrastructure to the cloud, and is seeking a skilled engineer to lead the evolution of customer APIs and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical direction, guiding architectural decisions and ensuring successful delivery.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive technical roadmaps and deliver business value.
• Conduct research and POCs on new technologies to align product architecture with future needs.

Preferred Experience:

• Strong experience in providing technical leadership, with a focus on architectural design patterns, API design, and real-time data platforms.
• Proficient in Java development, particularly with the Spring Framework Ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services, distributed system design, and messaging middleware.

Desired Skills:

• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP and Load Balancers.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and building enterprise applications in the cloud.
