Social Media Specialist (BELFAST/HYBRID)

Job Description

VANRATH are pleased to be working with a global law firm to assist the recruitment of a Social Media Specialist. As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for posting to the firm's social media channels, monitoring and analysing activity, and providing advice, training and support to partners and employees.

The Ideal Person

  • Degree-level qualification in marketing communications, media relations or related discipline, or substantial equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years' experience in an agency or fast-paced business environment
  • Proven experience managing social media as part of an integrated marketing approach
  • Experience working with social media monitoring and analytical tools
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure with the capability to juggle tasks to meet deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to confidently interact with all levels and across cultures
  • Excellent ability to write in English, translating complex material into easy to read promotional copy
  • Strong analytical skills and a very high attention to detail


The Role
Content

  • Turning business content into dynamic and engaging social media posts
  • Supporting on managing and maintaining the global social media calendar for LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Collaborating with the digital, content and creative teams
  • Working collaboratively with the wider marketing and communications team to advise on and support the delivery of campaigns
  • Providing advice to the business to ensure content is optimised and identifies opportunities to repurpose and re-tweet content

Channels

  • Posting on the firm's main social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and other relevant channels
  • Monitoring, auditing and analysing the success of our social media content
  • Paid campaigns
  • Supporting on paid social campaigns (LinkedIn and Twitter), particularly sponsored ads and messages

Measurement and evaluation

  • Using analytics to determine efficacy and areas for social media campaign improvement
  • Monitoring and developing reports on competitor activity within social media spaces

Tools, technology and training

  • Helping to maintain the firm's social media scheduling and employee advocacy platform
  • Helping to train partners and employees on how to use social media effectively for business networking and client research and development
  • Supporting the implementation of new social media channels, tools and platforms
  • Keeping social media best practice guidance documents on the intranet up-to-date
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends
