VANRATH are excited to be working with a large civil engineering firm operating out of Newry for over 50 years who are hiring for a Site Manager to join their expanding team and work on local projects. The successful SM will be working on wastewater, civil and structural projects across Northern Ireland.

Have you worked on civil engineering or water projects? Do you want to develop your skills with one of the most reputable engineering contractors in Ireland?

The role:

  • Reviewing all relevant contract documents, purchase orders, project plans, and specifications, and providing feedback as necessary.
  • Collaborating with other members of the Contracts Team and Supply Chain to ensure contracts are delivered on time.
  • Organizing and conducting meetings to review project proposals, focusing on contract terms, scope, cost, construction, and scheduling.
  • Keeping the Project Manager informed of project status while adhering to established policies and safety procedures.
  • Notifying the Project Manager of any variations, including changes in costs or issues that may affect contract delivery, profitability, or warranty.
  • Maintaining prompt communication with customers regarding project schedules and any contract-related issues.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly progress reports.

What you need:

  • 4 plus years' experience
  • Ability to work across multiple teams and communicate effectively with PMs, Commercial Managers, Site supervisors and Commercial Directors.
  • Commercial awareness, especially for civil engineering projects.
