Are you looking for a Site Engineer role? Interested in working for a leading Building & Civil Engineering contractor?
VANRATH are recruiting a Site Engineer to work for a leading Main Contractor that delivers a range of Building & Civil Engineering projects.

Client:
Our client is a leading, progressive Main Contractor that works across the Construction and Civil Engineering sectors.
The business has a large pipeline of work ahead; mainly new build projects up to €40m across various sectors including Residential, Education, Healthcare, Commercial, and Retail.
Due to their growing workload, they have a great opportunity for a Site Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. They are seeking an experienced individual with a strong background in setting out and site engineering, capable of delivering projects from early stages through to completion.
Most of their work is in and around Dublin, so this opportunity will suit someone based in or near the area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for setting out, levelling, and surveying the site
- Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with design specifications and building regulations
- Provide engineering support to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Check and review drawings and technical documents for accuracy and completeness
- Liaise with the Project Manager, site management team, subcontractors, and clients to ensure efficient communication and workflow
- Assist with compiling and updating as-built drawings, records, and site documentation
- Monitor materials, plant, and workmanship for compliance with project requirements
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with company HSEQ procedures, including risk assessments and method statements
- Identify and report any design or technical issues to senior management
- Maintain high standards of site presentation and promote a culture of continuous improvement
The Ideal Person:
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer on new build construction projects
- Sound knowledge of setting out, site surveying, and reading technical drawings
- Experience working within sectors such as Residential, Education, Healthcare, Commercial, or Retail
- Strong understanding of HSEQ compliance and best practice
- Proficient in using total stations, GPS equipment, and AutoCAD
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Ability to commute to / work in Dublin on a regular basis
