VANRATH are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for a growing Residential Property Developer, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Remuneration:
c£50,000 to £60,000 + package

Client:
Our client is a growing, well backed, Residential Property Developer committed to the highest standards of House Building.

They are based in Belfast with developments currently in Belfast and surrounding areas. The business have a lot of developments in the pipeline and are going places.

Due to their continued success and growth they have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis.

The Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director and Commercial Director, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will ultimately be responsible for:

  • The preparation and management of the project's budgets, conducting site measurements, managing and maintaining cost reports ensuring all financial records are accurate and updated within client and project budget requirements
  • Manage and negotiate the subcontract tender process, including the appointment of sub-contractors and provision of all relevant contract and schedule documentation
  • Liaise with Clients, Sub-Contractors, Suppliers to ensure information; costs, profitability and value meet the requirements of each project through to final handover
  • Preparation of reports and technical documentation, as well as assisting the bid team on tender documentation, and advising internal teams on contractual matters
  • Attend monthly progress meetings with clients & Directors and produce detailed financial reports.


The Ideal Person:

  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or other Construction related subject
  • 8+ years' experience of managing projects from pre-construction through to handover stage
  • Proven experience working on new build residential, high end residential, fit out or refurbishment projects over the value of £10 Million
  • Experience in producing CVR's to the Senior Management Team
  • Experience in Conquest, CATO or another similar software
  • Experience in Buying, Procuring and appointing subcontractors
  • Produce funding reports for projects and carry out site valuations
  • Completing and issuing Payment Applications in accordance with the contract
  • Relevant paperwork, tracking and reporting as required for the above tasks.
