This is a newly created position within a growing group, focused on building high-quality, scalable features across a suite of complex products.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will champion quality throughout the development life cycle. You will drive BDD and TDD practices, work closely with developers and product owners, and ensure that each sprint delivers high-quality, production-ready software. You will design and implement testing strategies across manual, automated, and performance-based testing, with a strong emphasis on automation and API-level quality. You will contribute to test framework evolution, support CI/CD automation, and ensure robust coverage across functional and non-functional requirements.


The Person


* Extensive experience in QA/testing within Agile engineering teams
* Strong experience with test management and automation tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestComplete)
* Proficient in programming or scripting languages such as Java or JavaScript
* Skilled in identifying areas for automation and developing end-to-end automated tests
* Experience designing Acceptance Criteria and maintaining automated test frameworks
* Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling (GitLab, Jenkins, TeamCity)
* Experience using BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) and performance tools (e.g., JMeter or similar)
* Experience with non-functional testing - performance, load, stress, and security
* Understanding of API testing and message-based system automation
* Knowledge of trade-related or transactional system lifecycles (preferred but not essential)
* Strong understanding of the SDLC and quality-focused engineering practices
* Ability to raise risks, challenge design decisions, and support product teams in prioritisation
* Comfortable working across distributed teams with excellent communication skills
* Highly organised, detail-driven, and proactive
* Experience in reporting test progress, strategy, and quality metrics
Desired:
* Background in financial systems or high-availability platforms
* Knowledge of cloud technologies and microservices
* Relevant QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB)
* Experience with TDD/BDD methodologies and automated quality pipelines
