Senior Private Client Solicitor
Location: Belfast & across Northern Ireland
Position: Senior Private Client Solicitor - full-time, part-time, or consultancy basis
Focus: Private Client work with substantial contentious probate experience

As a Senior Private Client Solicitor, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Private Client department. You'll lead on complex, high-value work - including contentious probate matters - while enjoying genuine autonomy, hybrid flexibility, and the full support of a collaborative leadership team. Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a high-quality Private Client caseload, including wills, trusts, estate administration, and enduring powers of attorney.
- Handle contentious probate matters, including will disputes, contested estates, and related litigation.
- Advise clients on estate and inheritance tax planning, succession, and trusts.
- Build and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships.
- Supervise and mentor junior colleagues within the Private Client department.
- Work collaboratively across departments to deliver a seamless client experience.
- Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the firm's Private Client services.
Required Skills & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor (NI) with strong Private Client experience
- Proven track record in contentious probate and related dispute work.
- Excellent knowledge of wills, trusts, estate planning, and succession law.
- Exceptional communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to manage complex caseloads independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Strong commercial and strategic awareness with a focus on client care and service excellence.
