About you
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:


  • Qualified: You will be a ACCA , ACA or CTA qualified

  • Experience: Proven experience in a senior tax role, with a focus on compliance tax services.

  • Leadership: Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations, with a focus on compliance matters.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to clients and team members.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex tax compliance issues.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and provide proactive, commercially focused tax advice to clients.

What you will do

As a Senior Manager in Compliance Tax, your role will encompass a range of responsibilities, including (but not limited to):


  • Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the compliance tax team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

  • Tax Compliance: Oversee and manage all aspects of tax compliance services for clients, including self-assessment, corporate tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes. Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns in accordance with regulatory requirements.

  • Regulatory Adherence: Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations, ensuring the firm and clients remain compliant with all relevant laws and requirements.

  • Client Consultation: Act as a key point of contact for clients on compliance tax matters, providing expert advice, addressing queries, and offering strategic insights to optimise their tax positions.

  • Risk Management: Identify and manage potential risks associated with tax compliance, implementing effective strategies to mitigate risk and ensure the firm's reputation for excellence.

  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the compliance tax function, optimising processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional service and acting as a trusted advisor on tax compliance matters.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments within the firm, including audit and advisory teams, to ensure seamless service delivery and holistic client support.
