VANRATH are supporting a global insurance organisation in the recruitment of a Qualified Accountant on a 9-month contract with a strong view to permanent. This is an excellent opportunity for an immediately available accountant to join a well-established, international business and make an immediate impact within a fast-paced finance function.

The Role:

Reporting to a Senior Finance Manager, you will:

Take ownership of month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and review management accounts, journals, accruals and prepayments
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure control integrity
Support statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
Liaise with auditors and support year-end audit processes
Provide financial analysis and commentary to support decision-making
Identify and implement process improvements within the close cycle
Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the wider finance function

About you:

Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Proven experience delivering month-end and year-end processes in industry
Ability to hit the ground running in a dynamic environment
Strong Excel and financial systems experience
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Insurance or financial services experience desirable but not essential
