Position: Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Legal Engineering Team:

The Legal Engineering Team specializes in creating legal applications for the Legal Tech Solutions Team within the firm. They collaborate closely with the Data Science team on various solutions, including Legal Bricks and Contract Matrix.

What You Will Do:

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will:

• Demonstrate proficiency in Python and major ML packages.
• Assist the Data Science team in transitioning Data Science POCs into production-grade solutions.
• Work on the containerization of models and Infrastructure as Code.
• Shoulder the operational aspects of ML services.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
• Work closely with Legal Tech and MIG stakeholders to refine acceptance criteria.
• Strategize and implement software and model releases.
• Craft unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
• Continuously elevate the deployment, monitoring/alerting, and overall quality of production ML solutions.
• Foster knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team and department.

Qualifications required to apply:

• Strong problem-solving skills utilizing Python or other ML-focused programming languages.
• Experience with various ML techniques, encompassing supervised and unsupervised learning.
• Proficiency in building and deploying Machine Learning models using MLOps tools and frameworks.
• Experience in exploratory data analysis, experiment cycles, and data visualization.
• Robust understanding of ML architecture, patterns, testing, and debugging.
• Familiarity with common ML challenges and solutions.
• Knowledge of modern API development.
• Strong problem-solving skills, a can-do attitude, and a positive mindset.
• Commitment to engineering excellence and rigor in ML system design.
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies.
• Experience with agile working methods.

Desirable skills:

• Familiarity with modern programming languages in Machine Learning.
• Understanding of statistical concepts.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Cloud.
• Knowledge of container technologies.
• Expertise in securing Machine Learning models and infrastructure.
• Experience in highly regulated sectors.
• Testing and validation of Machine Learning models.
• Contributions to the community through Open Source, Stack Overflow, or Meetups.
