Senior Java Engineer - Consultant Opportunity (12-Month Contract)

Location: Hybrid, based in Belfast
Rate: £500 - £550 inside IR35

VANRATH are helping our client, a global fintech with offices in Belfast to find an experienced Senior Software Engineer - Consultant for a 12-month contract position. This is an excellent opportunity and would suit a first time contractor as much as an experienced one.

About the Role:

• Designing all aspects of projects, including app design, test design, observability, metrics, and CICD.
• Exhibiting language proficiency, independently writing application modules and unit tests, and contributing to architectural discussions.
• Defining key metrics driving code optimisation, managing environment build deployments, release notes, and build notices.
• Applying best practices in development, contributing to process enhancements, and leading by example.

Key Requirements:

• Expertise in core Java development skills.
• Passion for keeping up with tech trends and continual learning.
• Ability to learn, adapt, and react to business needs and technology problems.
• Experience with Jenkins, Ansible.

Desirable Skills:

• Low Latency in Java
• Experience developing applications in Cloud environment.
• Prior experience in financial services
