Client

Our client is a leading energy provider in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

A household name, they provide smart energy solutions and technologies and are central to the push to decarbonise Ireland's energy system.

With over 1,100 staff across NI and ROI, Health and Safety is a key focus for them. With a dedicated Health and Safety Committee operating company wide, ensuring a safe working environment for all their employees, whether they be office based, in the field or on site at one of their facilities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build and Develop upon existing H&S systems companywide, including policies, reporting, SOPs and governance.
  • Manage the activities of a team of 5, including 2 HSE Officers in Belfast and 3 Site HSE Officers at facilities around Ireland.
  • Chair the Health & Safety Committee, operating group wide.
  • Monitor levels of compliance, compiling a comprehensive schedule of reports to be presented to the Asset Management Director
  • Establish and oversee a full programme of documented HSE inspections, audits and checks.
  • Provide a schedule of H&S training to be delivered to members of the HSE team continually


The Ideal Person:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or Equivalent
  • Experience at a Managerial Level
  • 5 years experience in H&S

  • Experience working with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 would be a distinct advantage
