VANRATH are delighted to be working with a national logistics business in Belfast who are currently recruiting a Senior Finance Officer to join their team with the potential for an immediate start. The organisation is established as a leading player within the specific sector, with a strong customer base across the globe.

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, the Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for assisting with the month end management accounts processing, journal postings and reconciliations. This role is initially a contract role for a period of 3 - 6 months, with the potential of extension. Candidates who are available on a shorter notice period (1 - 2 weeks) are at an advantage.

• Experience in a similar level role, ideally with month end management accounts experience
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environment
• Flexible approach to work

What you'll do

• Preparation and posting of journals
• Assist with the annual budget setting process
• Assisting with cashflow forecasting
• Bank & Statement reconciliations
• General ledger posting
• Ad-hoc accounting duties when required
