About the organisation
VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting a Senior Finance Officer to join a respected not-for-profit housing and care provider committed to delivering high-quality services and supporting local communities. The finance team plays a key role in ensuring sound financial management, value for money, and compliance with statutory and regulatory standards.
The Senior Finance Officer will support the Treasury and Analysis Manager to produce accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information, helping guide decision-making across the organisation.
About you
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, or equivalent) or educated to degree level in a finance or business-related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a finance environment
- Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues
- Excellent IT skills, including advanced Excel and experience with financial systems
- Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative approach to work
What you'll do
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
- Support treasury reporting, including loan and investment records
- Contribute to grant claims, financial returns, and audit processes
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements
- Maintain and review financial systems, ensuring data integrity and process efficiency
- Provide financial analysis and insight to support key decision-making
- Promote best practice in governance, data protection, and compliance
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused finance service
