Our client is a pioneer in their field within the manufacturing industry. A renowned brand that supplies its products locally and all over the world. They have the need for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager from a vehicle manufacturing or aviation background to oversee a large team of skilled electrical engineers.

What you'll do

• Support the head of vehicle systems with associated tasks related to the role
• Work closely with the Product Development Director and the project management team on project key milestones.
• Liaise with the production department to optimise design and New Product Introductions (NPI).
• Improve the standards of engineering and ensure that engineering designs are robust and properly validated.
• Ensure engineering practices and activities comply fully with company Quality Management Systems (QMS) processes.
• To ensure all Safety Critical Processes are followed during the design stage and to support the Product Safety Committee with in-service support.
• Co-ordinate new option development for production contract planning and current design.
• Work with the Electrical, Manufacturing and Homologation teams to ensure consistence of design by maintaining strong lines of communication.
• Ensure work is completed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.

About you

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 5 years' experience of engineering in a resource planning manufacturing environment
• Minimum of 2 years in supervisory position
• Previous NPD experience, Vehicle engineering experience, budget control experience
• Experience with electrical design software e.g. Zuken E3
