Senior Data Analyst - HSCNI (Data Analyst)

We are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading health-care public body organisation to appoint an experienced and pro-active Data Analyst who will work closely with the Data Lead on various projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Information Manager and Team colleagues to ensure the provision of high quality management information and analysis to support the organisations needs.
  • Work closely with the data lead across data quality and profiling, data cleansing, data modelling, data archiving, data privacy, data migration and data management.
  • Provide specialist data extraction, analysis and presentation skills using programming tools such as structured query languages and visualisation software.
  • Working with data governance team to ensure the data standards, principles and GDPR are incorporated into the data design, data management in the system processes across all data objects.
  • Be responsible for troubleshooting BI tools, systems, and software.
  • Develop innovative data models & solutions to deliver a responsive BI portal.
  • Lead on the development and enhancements of SQL data warehouse.
  • Automating extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of data onto a SQL server, while developing, maintaining & optimising data models & reporting solutions.
  • Define a data project plan - Responsible for defining the project plan for data, assigning teams to various data activities, tracking data tasks and reporting and highlighting any data challenges back to the programme team
  • Running weekly data status meetings and tracking progress across all data activities
  • Working with the Data Owners, Data Stewards and Data custodians to ensure the data governance processes are incorporated into the data design for the programme.

Salary:
This role is £21.31 per hour, plus holiday & pension pay. In alignment with the band 7 HSCNI Bandings - £41,659.00 per annum.

The ideal person:

  • Degree in Data Analysis, Computing, IT; or related
  • Knowledge and experience of SQL, SharePoint, Power BI
  • Data Analysis experience
  • Confidence in adapting to new software and programming languages.
