The successful candidate will play a hands-on role in managing projects from early planning through to completion - ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard. You'll be part of a collaborative, supportive team, with the chance to work on a range of meaningful and impactful projects.

What the role involves:

  • Managing the delivery of assigned capital projects in line with organisational procedures and statutory requirements.

  • Preparing tender and contract documentation, and supporting procurement processes.

  • Monitoring project budgets and timelines, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

  • Acting as a key point of contact between internal departments, consultants, and contractors.

  • Supporting the development of best practice across the team, including contract management and project reporting.

  • Contributing to funding applications and ensuring conditions are met.

Who we're looking for:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant built environment field such as architecture, quantity surveying, or project management.

  • At least three years' experience managing building or infrastructure projects, including budget oversight and contractor coordination.

  • Familiarity with NEC contracts and public sector procurement.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.

  • A working knowledge of health & safety legislation and project management tools (e.g. MS Project).

  • A full driving licence and access to suitable transport.

Candidates without a degree may be considered if they can demonstrate substantial and relevant experience (minimum seven years).

Additional information:

  • This is a contract opportunity based at the client's Civic Centre, with travel to other sites as required.

  • Some flexibility may be needed for occasional out-of-hours meetings or events.

  • A professional membership or willingness to work towards this is desirable.
