VANRATH are pleased to be partnered with a leading public sector employer based in Ballymena who currently require a Management Accountant to join their team on an interim basis for 3-6 months. If you are a Qualified Accountant, this role would provide the opportunity to gain exposure within the public sector, along with having the opportunity to secure a permanent contract.

To be considered for this role, it is essential to be a fully qualified Accountant, with at least 1 years PQE, ideally within a management accounting environment. This opportunity has the potential for an immediate start and as such, interviews are taking place immediately.

About you

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 1 year PQE
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environment
  • Management Accountant experience (desirable)
  • Strong IT skills (MS Excel in particular)

What you'll do

  • Prepare monthly management accounts in line with schedule
  • Prepare journals, accruals & prepayments
  • Project accounting
  • Liaise with budget holders in cases of over/under spend
  • Budget monitoring
