In order to attract the very best talent on the market a generous remuneration package is on offer based on experience plus a range of benefits including:

  • Salary dependant on experience (£45,000 - £53,000)
  • 6-month contract
  • Fully remote for duration of the contract

Client

VANRATH are partnered with a leading commercial organisation who require a Senior Accountant to join their team to help with an ongoing project. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will support the FD in running the finances for this project and overseeing other members of staff. While initially 6 months, this role is likely to be extended.

The Ideal Person

If you've 3+ years' experience working in a similar role;

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong reporting skills
  • Ability to work productively and flexibly while meeting deadlines
  • Available at short notice

Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant you will:

  • Maintain general ledger and associated accounting
  • Assist newly acquired entity with adoption of internal controls and processes
  • Reconcile cash accounts against monthly bank statement balances
  • Preparation of monthly journal entries
  • Assist with ongoing development of accounting policies and procedures
  • Ensure cost appropriately accrued at month end
