Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting others? VANRATH are assisting a reputable organisation in their search for a Scheme Coordinator to join their team on a temporary basis.

Role
Fixed-term contract - 25 hours per week

Salary
£19,103 pro rata

The Ideal Person

  • Good level of education (GCSE's or equivalent)
  • 1+ years recent experience providing care/support.
  • Demonstrable IT skills.
  • Good communication skill.
  • Admin experience.
  • Able to react calmly to emergency situation and use initiative.


Desirible:

  • Able to respond to emergencies after working hours.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, Customer Awareness.
  • Knowledge of Welfare & Health Services.
  • Qualifications and/or training in Administration and/or Housing or Support/Care.



Responsibilitiesq
1. Provide prospective tenants with information on the Scheme and its services.
2. Assess support needs and complete and maintain outcome. Through Support Planning, the Scheme Coordinator will;

* look out for signs of need and organise and co-ordinate appropriate care.
* visit tenants regularly, particularly those who are flat or house-bound.
* liaise with families, medical staff and social workers and housing management staff and care staff and any other appropriate bodies.

3. Review response processes, prepare for and deal with emergencies and obtain assistance where appropriate.
4. Maintain risk assessments, report repair needs of the building to the Services Centre and check work done by contractors.
5. Supervise cleaning and maintenance assistant staff and carry out progress and development reviews as required.
6. Order and check delivery supplies.
7. Maintain security of all keys.
8. Maintain Tenant Data and to advise Emergency Call Centre of all changes.
9. Administer Petty Cash and any other monies as necessary.
10. Provide comprehensive relief Scheme Co-ordinator cover at other schemes as required.
11. Participate in promotion of the scheme.
