Job Description

Our public sector client is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Roofer to join their property maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to contribute to essential repair and maintenance services across local authority-owned buildings, including residential and community properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out reactive and planned roofing repairs on domestic and commercial properties

  • Conduct fault-finding and problem-solving related to roofing systems

  • Work safely and efficiently at height, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation

  • Liaise with tenants, supervisors, and planners to complete jobs to a high standard

  • Accurately complete job sheets and documentation as required

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a roofer, ideally within a maintenance or local authority setting

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Roofing (desirable)

  • Valid CSCS card

  • Working at Height and Asbestos Awareness training (or willingness to obtain)

  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential - company van may be provided)
