Risk Manager (Insurance) - Fully Remote - 50k

VANRATH are assisting with the recruitment of a Risk Manager for a leading financial company (multi-billion pound insurance company), that places immense value on their staff.

Working From Home - 5 days per week (Monday - Friday all at home) - This firm offers real progression opportunities alongside some of the best benefits in Northern Ireland.

This is a Monday - Friday position - Permanent.

Initial training for this role (usually a couple days) will be in the company's Newtownards office.. There will be occasional needs to visit this office.

Salary:

£40,000 - £50,000 + Discretionary Bonus + Fantastic Benefits Package & Progression Opportunities & Salary Reviews..

Responsibilities:

This includes delivering annual Risk and Control Assessments across the entire Company. Updating and maintaining a record of the systems and controls established across the entire business in a centralised system, ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of those systems and controls, identifying deficiencies, recommending improvements and internal reporting. Strengthening and safeguarding Insurances risk culture and operational and financial resilience.

Requirements

• Previous experience (at least two years) in a risk or internal audit role, or a role involved in the design and testing of internal controls
• Previous experience in delivering risk and control assessments
• Professional, proactive and highly motivated
• Excellent problem solving and reasoning skills
