About you
- Degree in Law with at least two years' relevant experience (including formal investigation) or five years' relevant investigative experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and evaluate complex information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with strong time-management abilities
- Able to prioritise caseloads, work under pressure, and exercise sound judgement
- Strong IT proficiency (Microsoft Office and case management systems)
- Team player with adaptability, problem-solving mindset, and high attention to detail
- Desirable: Experience in a regulatory environment or qualifications in investigation/complaints handling
What you'll do
- Conduct initial assessments and investigations into professional conduct complaints
- Communicate with members of the public, professionals, and third parties by phone and in writing
- Manage a personal caseload, ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met
- Gather, analyse, and evaluate evidence, producing reports and recommendations
- Prepare formal documentation and present investigation findings to internal committees
- Support continuous improvement by updating procedures and contributing to internal projects
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and statistics in line with governance policies
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and training activities
