£39,000 - £43,000 basic salary + 15% bonus scheme and company car

The Client
VANRATH are pleased to be working with an industry leading retail and foodservice provider in Ireland who are looking to recruit a Regional Account Manager to play an integral part of their continued growth strategy.

This client is a fast growing business in the UK and supply frozen further processed poultry and seafood products into both foodservice and retail.

The Role

With a small base of existing customers in the region we are seeking someone comfortable in both hunting for business while also developing relationships with existing customers to drive sales and territory forward.

  • Develop sales with new and existing customers - Food Wholesalers, Cash & Carry, frozen food distributors, manufacturers etc.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities, including new clients and new products
  • Regular customer/potential customer meetings (face to face)
  • Attend Trade shows
  • Achieving sales targets and profit margins, in line with company expectations

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in the UK food wholesale market.
  • Account management or business development experience within Food or FMCG.
  • Product knowledge of various seafoods.
  • Strong IT skills - Excel/PowerPoint/Word.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent time management and planning skills.
  • Organised and the ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Strong network of Wholesale contacts in the UK
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Have a full, clean driving licence.
