Regeneration & Infrastructure Officer (Public Sector)

Are you looking for a Regeneration & Infrastructure Office role? Interested in working for a large public body for a period of 9 months with a possible extension.?

VANRATH are recruiting a Regeneration & Infrastructure Officer to assist the Regeneration & Infrastructure Manager with the implementation and project management of their strategic programme of regeneration and infrastructure activity.


Remuneration:
c£37,000, alongside holiday entitlement.

Responsibilities

  • To assist in the delivery of a portfolio of complex Regeneration & Infrastructure projects in accordance with the Regeneration Strategy.
  • To work with appropriate partner organisations and groups to enhance the delivery of Regeneration & Infrastructure projects.
  • To support the Regeneration & Infrastructure Manager by representing the Company in discussions with relevant government departments; agencies and private sector organisations, including Transport NI, Property Developers, Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Department for Communities, Lagan Canal Trust, Lagan Valley Regional Park Committee, Inland Waterways Association of Ireland etc. and to represent the Company on external bodies and committees as appropriate
  • To comply with operating procedures and financial control systems in accordance with external funding requirements, the Company's financial regulations as set out in the Accounting Manual and departmental monitoring systems and processing all relevant documentation and conditions required by grant awarding bodies.
  • Assist the Regeneration & Infrastructure Manager to monitor income and expenditure targets set as part of the Annual Budget Estimates, and in assessing and controlling these against programme performance.
  • To directly line manage appropriate Regeneration staff including Project Support Officers.


The Ideal Person

  • A degree or other Level 6 Qualification

Have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience to include ALL of the following:-

  • Assisting in the planning, management, monitoring and evaluation of a portfolio of projects through development and delivery of a strategic plan.
  • Budget Management in excess of £100,000 per annum to include the management of public or European funding.
  • Working in partnership with other agencies and organisations to deliver projects
  • Ability to pro-actively deal with contentious and complex issues within a community context during delivery of strategic projects.
  • Experience of contract management and appropriate procurement of goods and services.
