Vanrath are working a full-service electrical contractor with many years' experience of successfully completing complex and demanding projects across diverse industry sectors including hotel, hospitality, commercial, retail, education, healthcare and residential.
We enjoy a high level of repeat business from our clients, including many of the industry's leading construction contractors and Hotel operators. They are seeking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
Role
As Quantity Surveyor you will reporting Commercial Manager and taking responsibility for pre and post contract quantity surveying duties.
Responsibilities

• Preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts.
• Procurement and payment of subcontractors.
• Site measurement.
• Preparation of schedules of work / bills of quantities to facilitate estimating.
• Liaising with the Client's professional design team and quantity surveyor.
• Preparing tender and contract documents.
• Negotiate to ensure budgets are not exceeded. Accurate and vigorous cost management of projects, working closely with operations to deliver profitable outcomes.
• To participate and support all Company initiatives
• To participate, promote and support all Company initiatives with compliance to procedures and requirements.
• Any other duties conducive to the effective operation of the post which the Company deem to be within the post holder's competence.

Essential Criteria
· BSc(Hons) Quantity Surveying.
Essential Experience

• Preferably 3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills, be a team player and can work under pressure.
