Quantity Surveyor - Commercial (Omagh)

The Ideal Person
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial and contractual expertise. You will have:
- A professional qualification or degree in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of the construction industry and on-site processes
- Full, clean driving licence
- Excellent communication, time management and resource management skills
- Strong IT literacy
- Solid knowledge of contract documents, construction practices and techniques
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and perform accurate measurements/calculations
Responsibilities
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering robust commercial performance across assigned projects, including:
- Full commercial management of designated project(s)
- Forecasting and CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) reporting
- Identifying and managing risk with the Project Team
- Preparing and issuing monthly valuations/applications to clients
- Final account preparation and negotiation
- Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Measurement and payment of subcontractors/suppliers, including final accounts
- Change management, including variations and compensation events
- Attending project meetings and supporting contractual issue resolution
- Ensuring Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards are met
Remuneration
- £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
- 31 days annual leave
