💰 £35,000 - £40,000 per annum


An established global engineering firm is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to strengthen its Carrickfergus-based production operation. This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-performing, technically advanced manufacturing environment focused on continuous improvement and precision production.


About the Role:


In this position, you'll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing quality standards across both product and process. Working as part of a cross-functional team, you'll lead and support activities that directly impact production efficiency, customer satisfaction, and product reliability.


Key Duties Include:

  • Investigate and analyse internal and external quality issues, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce defect rates across production and customer-facing processes.
  • Create and implement strategies to minimise non-conformance and improve process consistency.
  • Conduct routine internal audits and ensure all findings are addressed and closed out effectively.
  • Manage and oversee third-party rework operations, aiming for cost-effective, root-cause solutions.
  • Liaise directly with customers to resolve complaints, produce documentation, and ensure clear communication on quality concerns.

What We're Looking For:


Essential Criteria:

  • 3rd level qualification in relevant engineering or technical field.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and digital systems for tracking and reporting.
  • Experience applying formal problem-solving methodologies.
  • Previous exposure to manufacturing or a customer-facing engineering environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Able to handle competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
