Location: Banbridge
Hours: Mon-Thurs 7:30am-5:00pm, Fri 7:30am-3:00pm
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent


A leading manufacturing company based in Northern Ireland is currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join their growing quality control team. Known for delivering large-scale prefabricated solutions across the UK and Europe, this organisation works at the forefront of innovative and sustainable engineering.


This is a key role in ensuring consistent quality standards across projects and processes, with a focus on calibration systems, nonconformity resolution, and continuous improvement. You'll work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to maintain compliance, resolve quality issues, and contribute to operational excellence.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Maintain and manage the calibration schedule for measurement and testing equipment
  • Ensure detailed, accurate records of all calibration activity for traceability and audits
  • Identify, report, and resolve internal and external nonconformities using root cause analysis and corrective action methods
  • Analyse data and trends to support ongoing quality improvements across the business
  • Collaborate with internal departments to embed quality standards into engineering, production, and delivery workflows
  • Oversee quality documentation and produce regular reports on metrics and defect rates
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality procedures, regulatory frameworks, and client-specific standards
  • Keep up to date with evolving industry regulations and best practices

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a quality-focused engineering role, ideally with exposure to both calibration and nonconformity reporting
  • Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 9001 essential, ISO 45001 / 14001 desirable)
  • Strong analytical mindset and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to lead investigations and implement effective corrective actions
  • Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Experience working within a structured quality management system (QMS)
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field
  • ISO Lead Auditor certification would be an advantage
