Job description

VANRATH are working with a fast-growing, modern accountancy practice with a lively, award-winning team. We're looking for a newly qualified or recently qualified accountant to join the accounts department, enjoy variety, and make an impact with real client exposure.

The Role
This is a hands-on, client-facing role within a busy accounts department. You'll work directly with SME clients, preparing accounts and supporting compliance and advisory work. The role is flexible, with the option of a four-day week, and plenty of opportunity to grow your skills and career.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare and review statutory accounts for a variety of clients

  • Support compliance work including corporation tax and VAT

  • Work closely with managers and partners on client queries and advisory work

  • Develop relationships with clients and gain confidence in client meetings

  • Contribute to a collaborative and fun team environment

Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

  • Practice experience with real client contact

  • Strong attention to detail and deadlines

  • Confident, proactive, and keen to develop advisory skills

  • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
