Quality Assurance Technician - Food Production

An established food manufacturer based in Craigavon is currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Technician to join their technical team. This is a vital role focused on maintaining product integrity, ensuring compliance, and supporting food safety standards across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take the lead on day-to-day QA tasks on the production floor, ensuring all work aligns with production plans and quality protocols
- Uphold high standards in hygiene, food safety, and GMP, maintaining site compliance with BRC and customer requirements
- Monitor and report on raw material intake, highlighting any issues to the operations team
- Perform final product inspections, checking labelling, date codes, packaging, and presentation
- Assist with the management of supplier records and contribute to audit preparation
- Deliver quality-related training and support continuous improvement across the site
- Carry out verification of critical control points and allergen control procedures
- Support line release activities by performing swab testing and verifying cleanliness
- Record and verify data for roasting processes to ensure full traceability
- Collaborate with production and technical teams to solve issues and drive quality improvements
What We're Looking For:
Must-Have:
- Solid knowledge of food safety and manufacturing best practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Reliable, adaptable, and quality-driven in your approach
Desirable:
- Relevant qualification in food science, quality, or a similar technical subject
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in a QA or food production environment
- Level 2 Food Safety and HACCP certifications
- Experience in internal audits or audit preparation
