Test Analyst x 2 (Hybrid, Multiple Locations Across NI)
Rate: £18/hour (PAYE) or £25/hour (via Umbrella)
Duration: 6 months (likely extension to April 2026)
Location: Hybrid - Can be based anywhere in Northern Ireland; access to own transport is essential as travel to multiple sites across the region if required.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Test Analyst to join our client, a well known Public Sector organisation's on a hybrid basis. This role will play a crucial part in the testing, and implementation of a new system being rolled out across the organisation. The successful candidate will work within a dedicated work stream team, contribute to system development and training, and help ensure timely delivery of key project milestones.
This post is initially offered for a period of 6 months, with a strong likelihood of extension to April 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Testing Duties:
Capture and document system design and implementation requirements.
Establish test conditions based on requirements.
Create and execute detailed test cases and scripts.
Evaluate test outcomes, report results, and highlight issues/risks.
Conduct impact assessments of new software on existing systems.
Maintain and report on the RAIDD (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, Decisions) profile for your project area.
Compile, maintain, and update project documentation.
Training Support:
Develop and deliver training materials for system users.
Help facilitate training sessions via workshops, webinars, and e-learning formats.
Support trainees during sessions and respond to technical queries.
Track and report on training engagement and effectiveness.
Collaborate with project managers and developers to understand and convey software functionalities.
Person Specification
Essential:
A third-level qualification (HNC or above) with at least two years' experience in a software testing or development role;
OR
Five years' relevant experience in a software development or testing role.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and targets in a pressured environment.
Strong team player with a systematic, detail-oriented approach to work.
Access to transport and willingness to travel across multiple NI sites.
