Test Analyst x 2 (Hybrid, Multiple Locations Across NI)


Rate: £18/hour (PAYE) or £25/hour (via Umbrella)
Duration: 6 months (likely extension to April 2026)
Location: Hybrid - Can be based anywhere in Northern Ireland; access to own transport is essential as travel to multiple sites across the region if required.


About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Test Analyst to join our client, a well known Public Sector organisation's on a hybrid basis. This role will play a crucial part in the testing, and implementation of a new system being rolled out across the organisation. The successful candidate will work within a dedicated work stream team, contribute to system development and training, and help ensure timely delivery of key project milestones.

This post is initially offered for a period of 6 months, with a strong likelihood of extension to April 2026.


Key Responsibilities

Project & Testing Duties:

  • Capture and document system design and implementation requirements.

  • Establish test conditions based on requirements.

  • Create and execute detailed test cases and scripts.

  • Evaluate test outcomes, report results, and highlight issues/risks.

  • Conduct impact assessments of new software on existing systems.

  • Maintain and report on the RAIDD (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, Decisions) profile for your project area.

  • Compile, maintain, and update project documentation.

Training Support:

  • Develop and deliver training materials for system users.

  • Help facilitate training sessions via workshops, webinars, and e-learning formats.

  • Support trainees during sessions and respond to technical queries.

  • Track and report on training engagement and effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with project managers and developers to understand and convey software functionalities.


Person Specification

Essential:

  • A third-level qualification (HNC or above) with at least two years' experience in a software testing or development role;
    OR
    Five years' relevant experience in a software development or testing role.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and targets in a pressured environment.

  • Strong team player with a systematic, detail-oriented approach to work.

  • Access to transport and willingness to travel across multiple NI sites.
