VANRATH are delighted to be representing an expanding wholesaler and distributor, who now has an opening for a Purchasing Lead to oversee the purchasing function as the company continues to excel.
The ideal person
- 2-3 year's in a senior buying position
- Experience within an Engineering setting
- Ability to effectively manage supplier relations and performance
- Analytically minded to identify trends and make improvements
- Confidence in bringing forward new ideas, challenging existing practice.
As a Purchasing Lead, you will:
- Have responsibility for supplier performance and delivery
- Source goods and materials from a global supplier base
- Liaise heavily with internal departments such as Sales
- Identify/source new suppliers when necessary
- Analyse sales and customer trends to ensure stock efficiency
- Manage shipments and other logistical duties i.e., shipping, customs paperwork and carriers.
