Purchase Ledger Clerk - Belfast Area (Construction Industry)

VANRATH are excited to be working with a growing construction company in the Belfast area. With continued expansion, the business is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to support the finance team. This role will work directly with the Head of Finance, and prior experience in the construction sector is highly desirable.

What you'll do

  • Oversee the Accounts Payable function

  • Process high volumes of invoices (matching and coding)

  • Carry out regular bank reconciliations and reconcile supplier statements

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns

  • Prepare and submit CIS returns

  • Support month-end close activities

  • Assist with ad-hoc finance projects and tasks as required

About you

  • Previous experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or in a similar accounts payable role

  • Construction industry experience preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively

  • Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills
