Property Services Officer


VANRATH are partnering with one of the largest Housing Associations in NI in their search for a Property Services Officer initially on a 3 month contract.

Salary
This role offers c£27,354 pa plus excellent holiday allowance.

The Ideal person
Essential

  • HND or equivalent in a surveying, building services or property management related discipline

OR

  • Sound knowledge of building construction with a minimum of 6 year's relevant experience in construction or estate/property management.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge and experience in the diagnosing of repairs to domestic dwellings and buildings.
  • Ability to plan, and prioritise workload
  • Current valid driving licence and access to private transport


Desirable

  • Ability to collate and analyse statistics and provide relevant written reports.
  • Experience in Housing Association and/or NIHE property maintenance and provision of adaptations to social housing dwellings
  • Experience of staff management and supervision

Responsibilities

  • To provide an efficient, responsive and excellent customer focused Property Services maintenance service to customers.
  • To maintain and develop positive working relationships with external agencies such as: Fire Authority, RQIA, Managing Partners, Health and Safety Executive, Building Control, Environmental Health, HMO and other housing providers, etc.
  • To liaise with tenant groups to promote knowledge of the maintenance service and facilitate greater information and choice.
  • To liaise with the Finance department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices.
  • To identify and prepare insurance claims in respect of insured risks to property.
  • To liaise with Development, Assets and Housing Management staff in the design, appraisals of drawings and specifications and subsequent handover inspections of new/refurbished developments.
