VANRATH are pleased to be working with a local public sector employer in the Belfast area who are currently recruiting a Finance Officer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business who provide an important service to the local community.This role is offering the opportunity for an immediate start.

The Ideal Person
If you've 2+ years' experience of working within a busy finance environment with staff management:

• Qualified or part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA)
• Ability to work as part of team
• Strong IT skills including MS Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work at high level of accuracy

Responsibilities
As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Prepare management accounts in a timely and accurate manner
• Respond to any queries arising from grant claim submissions
• Provide information to senior management
• Assist with review of Management Accounts process
• Assist with quarter end and year-end production of accounts
• Maintain documentation to support claims and reported balances
