Position: Project Manager
Location: Coalisland (Cookstown / Dungannon area)
Type: Permanent

This role is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with an early finish Friday.
Full Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Programme:
- Develop project plans, programmes and timelines for mechanical scope of works.
- Ensure the mechanical programme aligns with the overall main project programme.
- Identify resource needs (labour, equipment, materials) and plan accordingly.
Cost Management:
- Prepare information for project budgets, including forecasting costs, tracking expenses, and controlling costs to ensure the project remains within the budget.
- Evaluate project financial performance and report on any deviations.
- Approve purchase orders, variations and invoices related to the mechanical scope of work.
Co-ordination and Communication:
- Act as the main point of contact between the mechanical team and the main contractor, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate coordination between other trades (e.g., electrical) to avoid conflicts and ensure efficient workflows.
- Ensure effective communication with on-site supervisors, design teams and suppliers.
Quality Control and Assurance:
- Oversee mechanical work to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Implement quality assurance (QA) procedures and conduct regular inspections of the mechanical installation.
- Address any non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are taken.
Health and Safety Management:
- Ensure onsite compliance with all safety regulations and requirements for mechanical works.
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure all team members follow safety procedures.
- Handle incident reporting and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
Risk Management:
- Identify project risks (delays, material shortages, design changes, etc.) related to the mechanical scope and develop mitigation plans.
Resource Management:
- Ensure proper allocation of labour, tools, and materials to the project.
- Manage subcontractor relationships, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Address and resolve workforce or material-related challenges on site.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, variations, and other contractual documents.
- Provide regular progress reports to senior management.
- Document any delays, cost overruns, or issues and suggest ways to mitigate them.
Variation Management:
- Handle project scope changes related to the mechanical work, prepare variation documentation and evaluate the impact on timelines and costs.
Contract Management:
- Ensure that the mechanical work is executed in accordance with the contract agreements.
- Manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring they meet their obligations.
- Review and approve subcontractor work, invoices, and payments.
Site Management and Supervision:
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor the progress of mechanical installations.
- Supervise and give guidance to on-site mechanical teams, ensuring productivity and quality.
- Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that arise during the mechanical work execution.
Commissioning and Hand Over:
- Over-see the commissioning process including production of commissioning programme, ensuring all mechanical systems are tested and functioning properly.
- Coordinate final inspections, snag list completion, and the handover of the mechanical work.
- Ensure proper documentation (as-builts, operation manuals) is submitted to the client.
Ideal Candidate:
- Third Level Construction qualification or related area of study
- CSR/CSCS card
- Demonstrable experience managing projects (mechanical construction background preferred)
- Success in planning, budgeting, execution and project delivery
