Project Manager (M&E) Public Sector

Are you looking for a Project Manager (M&E) role? Interested in working for one of N.I. largest Public Sector organisations?

VANRATH are recruiting a Project Manager (M&E) to be responsible for all aspects of M&E during the delivery of the wider Belfast Project. This will require close collaboration with a wide and varying range on external and internal stakeholders and the management of multiple supporting workstreams.

Remuneration:
c£50,125, alongside holiday entitlement and pension (from day one).

The Ideal Person
Essential

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in managing projects, including M&E construction projects.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of project management methodologies and documentation.
  • Proven experience in managing project budgets, schedules and construction contracts.
  • Minimum of a Degree (or equivalent) in a Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Building Services related subject with a minimum of 3 years' experience in an M&E Project Management role

OR

  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in a Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Building Services related subject with

Desirable

  • Experience in managing significant change in a unionised environment.
  • Knowledge of public procurement practice for construction works and services.
  • Experience in a complex multi-disciplinary building project.
  • Experience in managing NEC3 Professional Service and/or Works Contracts.
  • Project Management accreditation (IPMA Level D or above) e.g. APMP, PRINCE2 or appropriate professional body membership.



Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of the project including the management of consultants in line with company's policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company Project and Programme Management Procedures and reporting to the Project Management Office.
  • Develop and delivery of presentations to the senior team and other stakeholders as the need arises.
  • Assist and deputise for the Business Change Manager pertaining to their area of expertise.
  • Review M&E design development to ensure Client interests are captured, whole life costs, sustainability and maintenance.
  • Manage and engage with Business change champions who relate to M&E.
  • Continued development of the risk register, ensuring all current and emerging risks are managed and mitigated by the identified risk owners.
  • Assist and deputise for the Business Change Manager in the management of the operational interface as and when required.
  • Assist with wider Belfast project in all matters relating to M&E
  • Manage relationship with Property department and project in all M&E matters.
