Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting this forward-thinking, innovative software firm on their search for an experienced Project Manager. This role will be suited to a PM who has solid experience working within a product-based software environment, delivering complex projects, and has some background in delivering these projects to Public Sector clients.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake the role of Project Manager for crucial clients within the Public Sector, collaborating with Sales to shape account strategies and oversee the overall well-being of customers.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams dedicated to addressing escalated customer concerns.
  • Participate in internal projects in collaboration with Customer Success Leadership, consistently seeking enhancements and efficiencies within the team.
  • Collaborate closely with Support, Sales, Product Management, and Development teams, ensuring alignment with customer expectations on substantial development engagements.
  • Employ robust verbal and written communication skills, coupled with technical and industry knowledge, to establish credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and escalate client or department-related issues when necessary.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the immediate manager or management team.

*Any experience in negotiating contracts/budgets/writing tenders would be highly advantageous but not a deal breaker*

The Ideal Fit

  • Managing public sector contracts within a tech environment, bringing 5+ years of project management experience to the role.
  • Demonstrating robust organisational skills and a team-oriented mindset, with experience in people management being advantageous.
  • Holding project management qualifications such as Six Sigma or PrinceII.
  • Establishing a proven track record of safeguarding and nurturing relationships with customers.
  • Applying knowledge of development methodologies, including Agile Development.
  • Utilising Jira project management software.
  • Achieving strong customer satisfaction and net promoter score results.
  • Increasing customer retention and overall adoption of technology.
  • Positioning the organization as a leader in delighting customers during their digital capabilities adoption journey.
  • Exhibiting behaviours that align with the organisation's Core Values.
