Project Engineer

Are you an experienced Project Engineer who has worked in the manufacturing industry. This is a great opportunity with a market leading company based in Larne. Candidates with expertise in planning and execution for production operations are encouraged to apply.

  • Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)

  • 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Project Management experience

  • Evidence of increasing plant capacity

  • Machinery fault finding experience

What you'll do

  • Bring a problem solving and root cause based mindset and culture to deliver high quality solutions

  • Manage key performance indicators which demonstrate value, performance, reliability, efficiency along with project delivery measures including Return on Investment

  • As part of the Engineering Team, work in close partnership with the maintenance and operations teams to ensure their knowledge and experience are considered and that key personnel are developed and trained on new systems in a timely manner

  • Prepare process documentation and operating instructions

  • Demonstrate a change instigator mindset to lead continuous improvement and drive positive change

  • Knowledge of manufacturing improvement strategies and problem solving

  • Analyse data to discover areas that need improvement and upgrades by developing best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality output
