VANRATH are pleased to be working closely with a successful group based in Greater Belfast in their search for a Project Accountant. This is a newly created role within the team and will support the Finance Director in reviewing, redesigning and implementing new financial processes across the group. This is the ideal role for an individual with strong systems skills, with an ability to bring solutions forward, while working on own initiative. Initially this role is scheduled for a period of 3-6 months, however due to the scale of the organisation there is an opportunity this could become a longer-term role.

About you

• Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
• Project experience
• Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Available at short notice

What you'll do

• Understand the drivers behind business performance
• Reviewing current systems/processes to suggest recommendations for further improvements
• Build reports for senior management meetings
• Design and implement new reporting processes
• Additional project accounting responsibilities
