Are you looking for a Programme Manager (Public Sector) role? Interested in working for a large public body for a period of 6 months+?

VANRATH are recruiting a Programme Manager (Public Sector) to take the leading role in the management of the preparation and completion of relevant Business Cases, Economic Appraisals, Designs and Delivery for each MEA BRCD project within the approved timescales and within budget


Remuneration:
c£47,655, alongside holiday entitlement and pension (from day one).

The Ideal Person

  • Degree in Capital Project Management or a construction related discipline
  • Corporate membership of a relevant professional Institute

AND

Be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have 3 years' experience in a capital programme management function to include:

  • Proven track record in successful management of a major capital programme (*)
  • Financial management and delivering against time deadlines
  • Effective communication with a number of key stakeholders delivering successful outcomes for the organisation
  • Successful management and development of a team.

OR, for candidates who do not meet the qualification requirements as outline above:

Be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that they have 5 years' management experience in a capital works management function to include:

  • Proven track record in successful management of a major capital programme (*)
  • Financial management and delivering against time deadlines
  • Effective communication with a number of key stakeholders delivering successful outcomes for the organisation
  • Successful management and development of a team.

(*) a major capital programme is defined as "over £20,000,000 value".


Responsibilities

  • Act as the Programme Manager, with managerial responsibility for the delivery of all three MEA BRCD Projects.
  • Assume the leading role in developing and completing Business Case/Economic Appraisal reports to support the project rationale for all three MEA BRCD Projects, as part of the wider BRCD governance process.
  • Act as the main Client contact/liaison at managerial level to interact and coordinate with, external consultants/building professionals, economic or financial advisors, departments and other officials and other relevant stakeholders to progress the designated project, as part of the wider BRCD programme infrastructure.
  • Manage the development of appropriate action plans including costs and clear project work programmes to ensure the timely and efficient progression of all three MEA BRCD Projects.
