VANRATH are recruiting for an experienced Public Sector procurement professional who is available on short notice and eager to progress their career within the sector.

Summary of key responsibilities:

The Procurement Officer will join our clients team on a temporary basis initially, with the possibility for extension and permanency. Working with wider procurement department, you will ensure the roll out of a full and effective procurement process, to include providing support and advice on tendering and quotation as well as accurate record keeping in line with policies and procedures.


About you

  • A Third Level Qualification in a relevant subject or commensurate professional experience.
  • At least 3 years relevant Public Procurement experience working in a complex multi-discipline organisation.
  • Experience in the use of an electronic e-sourcing platform.
  • Working knowledge of best practice public procurement.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full current driving licence or, if a disability prevents driving, access to a suitable form of transport to enable the duties of the post to be carried out in full.

It would be advantageous for applicants to hold or be working towards Level 6 Full Membership which gives membership to the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
